Unfortunately, in the company I work for, most students do not have access beyond the intranet so using Flickr images would not be possible. However, as I teach them about using OneNote and the other features available in Microsoft Office 365, I hope that they will see the advantages of adding photos to their collaborative efforts. A few examples of adding photos are: for investigations in to the root cause of an accident or “near miss” and requesting information regarding equipment they have not worked on recently that they encounter in the field. The positive for me is that I do have access to Flickr so I am able to use photos in my training and they do have quite a bit regarding the electrical utility industry!

Teaching students to USE images is the important part as well as crediting it when applicable!

I think that having access to quality images is important in making good presentations. Just by crediting them at the end of your presentation, and pointing it out to your audience is a good learning tool for them.
